A BIT ABOUT ME
I'm John, a production designer with a background in themed entertainment from theme park attractions to museum spaces. With experience in show set design, graphics, UX, interior design and more, I'm always looking for the next project to dive in to.
Originally from the Chicago suburbs, I grew up immersed in the prairie-style architecture of the Midwest and became interested in design. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), I received a BFA in Production Design with a concentration in Themed Entertainment.
During my final year, I also participated in the 2020 Disney Imaginations Student Design Competition and the 6th Annual Cornell Themed Entertainment Design Competition, placing 3rd and 4th respectively.
Currently I'm a 3D Artist at Crate & Barrel. Working with the Design Services team, I've built hundreds of photorealistic models for clients. In 2019, I was a visual experience design intern at Beaudry Interactive, LLC in Los Angeles, California. There I worked on projects from museums and cultural centers to theme park attractions, and worked with the core team on everything from visual design to digital modeling. Between projects, I often work as a freelance designer.
When I'm not designing, I'm still always busy. I love cooking & baking, running, hiking, and traveling in addition to my artistic hobbies. If you want to know more about my work or want to suggest a destination for my next trip, reach out with the form below or at my email, phone, or social media at the bottom of the page.
