BROUGHTON STREET, 1964
This model redesigns the main street of Savannah, Georgia with period signage and paint. Building plates were drafted and laser-cut. The entire model was fully hand-painted, and measures 6' 2" from end to end.

REDESIGNING THE STREET
To create the model, the existing street was documented as-built and drafted at 1/4" = 1'. The signage, colors, graphics, and materials were then redesigned to fit a street in 1964.

MODELING PROCESS
The model was built at 1/4" scale out of chipboard, acrylic, paper, and vellum. Main elements were drafted and then laser-cut. The model was painted by hand and internally lit to create a neon glow in the theater marquee and tower.
