GEOTHERMAL RESORT SECTION

This section model was a tool that helped me design the first iteration of a resort concept that became Kastalafjallsins. Carved into the face of a mountain, this section model shows the interior and exterior experiences in the resort.

MODELMAKING PROCESS

The model is created from hand cut Bristol board, paper, and Plexiglas. It sits on a base made of laser cut board, and finished with paper scale figures.

MASTER PLAN

The resort section was developed alongside a master plan through several iterations. The master plan evolved as the program and theme developed. It was conceived for Reynisfjara Beach, Iceland. This site remained for the final design, Kastalafjallsins Geothermal Resort,

but the master plan and program evolved.
